BC Girl Guides
Fraser Skies Area
Fraser Skies Area encompasses 14 active Districts from Burns Bog to Boston Bar!
We are known for our many landmarks, including Fort Langley, a National Historic Park, that was a busy outpost of the Hudson's Bay Company, most popular around 1848 and The Peace Arch, a symbol of the longest undefended border in the world. For 90 years each June, Girl Guides of Canada, Scouts Canada, Girl Scouts of America and Boy Scouts of America jointly sponsor Hands Across the Border in honour of the opening of the Peace Arch. Over 10,000 boys and girls from both countries gathered to celebrate this anniversary.
